It's been almost two years since since my last journal post.
Since then I have been working at my university as a website designer. I've gained invaluable experience and it is the first job that has ever made me feel like my life has a purpose. Before that I was just working dead-end service jobs that I could barely tolerate. The last two years have been the happiest I've been in a very long time. Not only am I building towards a professional career in software development, but also for the first time ever I feel a deep sense of satisfaction for my artistic creations.
This week, my boss vouched for me to a client I've been developing a website for, and they've been so impressed with our work over the last year that they are extending me an offer for an internship this fall. I'll be working for a Fortune 500 company! That would look spiffy on any resume. It has taken a long time, but everything in my life is finally falling into place, all of the hard work I've put in has finally paid off. I'll be graduating from college in less than a year and I'll be on my way to a real-person job.
This week I also broke another milestone, I finally have 200 watchers on this website! So, I want to thank you all, my watchers, for giving a shit about my stupid hobby. I've never felt like I could share my art with the people in my life because - to be perfectly blunt, my art is weird and it tends to turns people away in real life. So any attention, even if it is just a passing glance, adding it to your favorites, or especially leaving a comment means a great deal. I really appreciate it. This hobby is my open secret to the internet, and I am very glad I can share it with you all.

Looks like it has been over a year and a half since my last journal update here. I have some things to share. A lot has happened, all good things.
Since my last journal post I have started my career. That's going very well and I feel valued as an employee for the first time in my life. I've showed my boss my art and she says she likes it and that it's not even close to as weird as some of the art her friends make.
I've moved out of that seriously gross house I was renting a room in since 2014 and moved into a nice apartment complex on the edge of the city. I can look out my window and see a grain elevator on a far hill. I don't have to live

Hi, I'm doing fine. I just got a new job as a software developer at my university, and I start this week. This is the first job I've ever been excited about in my life, so I am definitely going to give it my all and apply myself to mastering front end web design.
Things are looking up
I hope you all are doing well, and as always, thanks for watching!
