Nice composition! The pallete choice is perfect, shades of red and green with plain black backround give this artwork very realistic effect! It's almost like a Hubble Telescope picture! But now that I'm a Space Art learner too I can definitely say that your nebula lacks sharpness. It would have looked so much better with PS sharpness effect! An the other issue is the starfield. While on dA page it looks decent, in fullsize it's, well, far not the best starfield ever. Stars are too circle-ish, and it doesn't look nice.
Still, looks so much better than my previous (and, well, the only one) nebula artwork. Speaking of which --> [link]

Thanks for the sharpness filter idea! I was afraid to use it because I was worried it might come out looking even worse... and absolutely correct, the stars do look unconvincing. I really need to figure out a way to make the light from the stars look as if it is being seen through a lens.

How did you get that effect with the couple of stars you chose to emphasize?

i've been collecting tons of tutorials, but the deviation with method that I love so much is deleted now. [link] This one perhaps is even better, so try it.

Thanks! Now it's only a matter of time before I make a decent one.
